Bridge Adventure Program students, including the newly selected second cohort, traveled to Palo Duro Canyon State Park October 1 to hike, explore, and camp in one of Texas’ most recognized outdoor recreation sites.
For some students, this was their first experience camping outside. The trip encouraged students to get familiar with their fellow classmates and the process of setting up camp and managing their gear.
While at Palo Duro, students also participated in a research project which incorporates the use of disposable cameras to document their experiences in the park and their observations about Leave No Trace (LNT) principles.
